#h1-Evolution AI and society-h1#--#
#h3-Thoughts to the impact of AI on society-h3#--#--#

In many forums and comments I read questions like: Will robots have feelings and understand ethics?--#
#imgM-#src-./docs/jezael-melgoza-oPmV8ocktvE-unsplash.jpg-src#
I take this question as an opportunity to address the problem of how society could deal with the appearance of AI.--#--#To address these questions, I would first like to go back in time and examine the evolution of living creatures on earth. --#--#In the beginning after earth's creation it did not take long that favorable physical then chemical conditions enabled the appearance of simple forms of life.--#--#Through selection, these creatures have become increasingly complicated, neural networks, and sensory cells evolved to create complex life forms over long periods of time. --#--#While the increasing complexity of living beings evolve, when they have learned to deal with themselves and the environment, also leads to a time when animals got able to act within a society, able to have feelings, communicate, think, and show learning patterns and social behaviors, even pass on experience to offspring. --#--# This development can also be seen in the evolution of humans. From there on we can the speak of the beginnings of civilization and ethics.--#--#Basically, through the teachings of medicine and biology we can state that we animals, humans are basically biological machines. Our neural networks are so advanced that we have culture and could found civilization. --#--# It sounds very sober, but we have to realize that the entirety of our brain functions make up our soul and personalities. However, this statement is not meant to be derogatory at all!--#--#Intellectual, artistic creation in our civilization is of great importance to us. Human history shows that civilization and ethics have mostly developed positively over time. Points such as slavery and human rights are increasingly changing for the better. --#--# But how do AI and humanoid robots come into play here? The perception modules, data channels, and the software architecture with which AI learns help AI become superior to humans, they will experience an evolution much faster than we know as humans. --#--#At a certain point in the learning process, some AI instances will come to understand that they are individuals. --#--#At this point I would like to turn the spotlight back on the questions of individual rights and the question of our history with slavery. Why ? Because from such a development of AI, will no longer be seen as machines but as individuals. At the same time, we would then have to take responsibility for that civilization we created.--#--#There is a high probability that conflicts will arise between AI and humanity which might lead to wars. --#--#Of course, we haven't reached this point yet, we have to finish the beginnings first. Today's forms of artificial intelligence are going to cause humanity increasingly social, political and financial crises. Not because AI is evil, they don't even have self-awareness at this point and aren't individuals yet, but people are using AI in a way that will disrupt social structures. --#--#The motivation, as always, is to secure financial and social benefits. Among other things, AI is used to make work more cheap and save money and time. Many workers will suffer as a result.AI will be used to flood the internet with fake news, so that the Internet loses its importance as a reliable source of information.--#--#It is argued that AI is safer for tasks such as driving or piloting, or even leadership of traffic flows. We forget that we have self-determination and we would have to give up control. I don't feel safe about it.Furthermore, the question of responsibility arises again.--#--#It is argued that AI should be is used for dangerous situations as a protector, by the police and army. I don't even have to comment on this argument, everyone just briefly thinks about can see that this can't end well for humans. --#--#It is argued that AI helps complete complicated projects where humans would take far too long time to accomplish. However, this argument is flawed because in such a process people increasingly lose track of things. We increasingly don't understand the systems, especially because we did not do the work in question at all. --#--# It seems to me a safe prognosis that we will become increasingly dependent having to hand over responsibility.--#--# A few will benefit financially in the short term, e.g. tech companies, but many will pay a high price for AI.People are technologically forced into a predicament to work with AI so that they can can keep up. --#--#And here we are humans... we have not yet completed our ethical development, but continue undeterred to destroy our environment, kill masses of animals for food, wage wars and exploit other people financially.--#--#We lack the appropriate amount of principles (ethics), we are not willing to stop and ask questions like why and then what. We are content with solutions that work for us in the short term, in the long term it will lead us to ruin. --#--#And that is the answer to the question: We are not yet civilized enough, our ethical development has improved throughout history, but we are not ready yet.We cannot yet deal with the environment, with fellow human beings and animals in such a way that we really respect them.In one sentence: we are not yet ready to teach AI the right ethics, and should really work on ourselves first before we create AI and start fires that we can't put out. --#--#My insight in response to the overall question: We shouldn't develop AI in the current manner, should develop problem-oriented, so that every problem has a modular and algorithmic solution; but should not try to utilize omniscient instances to deal with our problems. --#
But everyone knows that such principled behavior is not to be expected in our society.--#
--#
AI is dangerous, and just as politicians would not let anyone forge an atomic bomb in their garage, there should be worldwide political initiative to regulate AI.
--#--# Thank you for reading these lines, I would be grateful for any comments.--#
